The Fastest Way to Build Web3 Applications
The blockchain world moves fast, and so do we.
Over the past few years, thirdweb has evolved from an easy to way to deploy smart contracts into a fully-built developer platform powering some of the most ambitious apps in the industry.
- Our platform started as a click-to-deploy tool that made it easy for any artist, creator, or developer to deploy an audited smart contract without the friction of hiring a smart contract developer or auditing contracts
- We acquired Paper to build out Connect and improve user onboarding. We now had the ability for any user to login to an application with in-app wallets and interact with smart contracts seamlessly.
- We acquired Blocktorch to build out indexing tools to monitor and scale blockchain applications.
With your feedback, we built everything.
Thousands of developers have now used thirdweb to build, monetize, and scale production-ready blockchain applications. And today, we are re-introducing our full-stack.
We believe the future is multi-chain — any EVM, any ecosystem. That’s why we built our tools to work everywhere, so developers can build anywhere without worrying about limitations or support.
For solo builders, growing startups, enterprise teams, our platform abstracts away the complexity of blockchain development. We wanted to provide the tools you need to scale seamlessly, so you can focus on what matters most: creating something amazing.
Introducing our latest changes:
Build
- Wallets: Create, onboard, and manage user identities in applications through in-app wallets and server wallets.
- Transactions: Provide interfaces to transact onchain with features such as transaction monitoring, gas sponsorship, and more
- Contracts: Comprehensive toolkit to create, deploy, and manage smart contracts
Monetize
- Payments: Allow developers and users to receive and spend any token on any EVM chain
- Tokens: Improved token creation to enable the app economy through ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, and ERC-6909
- Marketplace: Improve distribution and process of listing tokens for primary and secondary sales
Scale
- RPC Edge: Enable RPC infrastructure to for all EVM chains so developer can build anywhere.
- Insight: Advanced capabilities for developers to query and analyze on and offchain data.
- Account Abstraction: Transaction infrastructure for gasless or permissioned transactions utilizing EIP-4337 and 7702 specs.
- Vault: A secure non-custodial key management system to secure in-app wallets and server wallets without exposing private keys and easy access provisioning.
As thirdweb grew, so did the number of tools, interfaces, and services we offered. As outlined above, it's a lot of surface area and we started hearing the same thing from developers:
“How does it all fit together?”
It led us to a few key changes:
- Intuitive Re-Naming: We rebranded Connect to Wallets, Engine to Transactions, and Universal Bridge to Payments to clarify what it includes and encompass all the sub-features within the categories.
- Expanding Interfaces: Development has changed a lot in the last year, especially with AI and agent development. We are evolving our platform to meet you on all interfaces. Each product will include a dashboard, SDK, API, MCP Server, and Webhooks so you can fully build and monitor your app.
- One unified platform: We are packaging and simplifying our interfaces, making it easier for developers to achieve their goals without needing to know every technical detail.
We’ve always been a developer-first company. These changes ensure the structure of our platform reflects the same clarity and intentionality as the code you write.
What's next?
In the coming months we will:
- Unify all of our product and interfaces
- Introduce offramp capabilities, more onramps, and Virtual Cards to Payments
- Introduce dedicated version of Transactions for our advanced users
- Enable Ecosystems (Chains) to manage their enabled services, programs, and pages
As part of the changes, you may see some changes and new features in our dashboard and across different product areas. As always, feedback is a gift- and we'd love to know how we can support you better.
To those of us who have been with us since the beginning, and to our growing community every single day we are incredibly grateful to build alongside you.
Thank you.
